2024 Charitable Partners

MERC is aligning our 2024 fundraising efforts in support of The Worldwide ERC's® Foundation for Workforce Mobility.  Established in 2004, The Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility's mission is to energize the global community through charitable giving.  Its vision is that all communities touched by global mobility are actively aware of, inspired by and engaged in our charitable efforts, worldwide.

MERC and The Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility supports the following industry organizations making a difference for people in need.

Move for Hunger's network of socially-responsible relocation companies provides their customers, clients, and residents with the opportunity to donate their food when they move.  Members of Move For Hunger also volunteer to host/assist with community food drives, participate in cause marketing campaigns, and create employee giving programs.

Family Promise coordinates local efforts that bring communities together to help families experiencing homelessness regain their housing, their independence, and their dignity.

Working with these community partners, they provide temporary housing, meals, and services to more than 125,000 family members annually.

WERC works in cooperation with regional relocation councils to support a student scholarship program for high school seniors.  Students apply via a regional relocation council, in this case, MERC.  One student will be selected for the regional scholarship and that student is entered into the WERC Foundation for Workforce Mobility scholarship pool.   Learn more at MERC Scholarship Resource Page

Students from underserved and disenfranchised communities often lack the access to internships which are critical in building skills and creating networks. Eleven+ levels the playing field, ensuring these students can get great paid internships doing formative work. As a result, young people gain applicable skills, valuable experience, and a network of mentors and peers that are critical to future success in the workplace.
