Charity Networking Activity with The Food Group

About The Food Group: The Food Group is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that fights hunger by rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to over 180 food shelves, soup kitchens, and other hunger relief programs throughout the Twin Cities metro area. They also provide land and resources to farmers to learn sustainable practices, grow organic foods, and build strong businesses. They are working toward food justice and equity. For nearly 50 years, they have been providing nutritious and quality foods to people across 30+ counties in Minnesota. In 2024, they distributed more than 7.6 million quality, culturally connected meals to communities, families, and people experiencing hunger.

Activity Description: Conference attendees will participate in a hands-on volunteer experience, likely involving food sorting, packaging, or preparation activities that directly support the organization's mission to fight hunger in the community. This provides a meaningful team-building opportunity while giving back to the local community.
