The MERC education committee has planned one heck of an event to kick off the new year! Please join us for an afternoon of education, ice fishing, and networking. RSM’s international, state, and local tax team will be leading a discussion regarding the opportunities and challenges associated with today’s remote workforce. This will include best practices with regard to employees who cross either state or international borders. The team will address questions related to both entity and individual level implications of remote work. Learn strategies that are right for your organization, how you can manage risks, and implement policies for your hybrid workforce.
That’s not all, folks! After the education session, we will be hosting an ice fishing extravaganza to support Minnesota Children’s Hospital with our ‘Catch for Kids’ social and networking event. All proceeds will go to support this great organization. If you plan to fish, we have you covered! Simply ensure you have a warm jacket, hat (provided by MERC), gloves, and our friends at Ice Warriors will provide the rest! Participants will need to purchase a one-day fishing license. Don’t fish but want to enjoy some comradery with your industry peers? Join us on the lake for a fire, beverage, and probably a laugh or two as many of our out-of-town guests experience being on ice for the first time.
